Different Year, Same Resolutions

I just looked at last year's knitting resolutions and realized that I didn't carry through on either one! I never was good at keeping resolutions but that doesn't mean I'll give up trying.

I'm going to carry over last year's resolutions and add more. Yes I'm a glutton for punishment. Last year's were to do toe up socks and learn to do a short row heel. This year I'm going to add finishing my sister's sweater and stash busting. I won't go so far as to say I won't buy any yarn but it will be minimal. I hate hanging out in a yarn shop and knitting without buying anything so I will be making some yarn purchases but not that many. My sister, Pat, will be thrilled to finally get her sweater this year. I started it a couple of years ago and just put it in the back of a closet. I've actually had friends offer to finish it for me because they know how much I dislike the thought of finishing it up. But finish it up I shall!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and hoping that this year's resolutions have a better chance of being accomplished than last year's did!

I completely understand the resolution thing. I'm bad at that too. However, those are solid resolutions. Good luck on completing them! Happy New Year Suzie!

Happy New Year, Susie! I know what you mean about finishing an albatross sweater - I have one for my husband that has been floundering around since October.. it's almost done but I'm so over it I just don't want to work on it. I loved all the cables and such on the front and back but the rest is just miles of stockinette on straight needles, could it get more boring?

I'll cheer you on if you'll cheer me on... lol. Good luck!
