Black Friday Contest

It's been a while since I've had a contest and I'm feeling unusually generous so I've put together a package for a giveaway!

Included in the package is one skein of Misti Alpaca fingering hand painted sock yarn in Senta and Vogue Knitting Socks & Vogue Knitting Socks Two! These are lovely little books with lots of sock patterns.

To enter all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what knitting goodies you're going to ask for this holiday season! I know I'm gonna ask Santa for a gift certificate from The Loopy Ewe. That's all I've got on my list so far but it's early yet. I'll be using a number generator and drawing a number on Friday, November 25th which is Black Friday. I'm willing to ship internationally so everyone can have a chance to win.

Good luck!

ETA - Make sure you leave me a way to contact you either via email or your Ravelry name!

Dear Santa, Please bring me some acid dyes for dying wool, a jumbo flyer for my Ashford wheel and lots of yummy yarn and fibre!

Twitter@Realhousewifebx said...

I'm going to ask for donations to take some entrepreneur classes so I can open a LYS.. I want one to sell great hand spun and hand died yarns, offer classes, sell magazines and books but mostly have a place where knitter can come enjoy each other company and have great conversation while serving coffee, tea and heathly snacks! That what I want for Christmas.. Classes to open my very own business..

Now that my son has deserted me and gone off to college, I need a ball winder and yarn swift!

Dear Santa,

now that I am getting a spinning wheel for my birthday next month, I really could use a loverly chocolate alpaca fleece to spin!

I'm not asking for anything knitted-related for the holidays. All I want is time so I can make some progress on the blanket I'm making for my fiance and I... and maybe start the pair of socks he asked for 2 years ago.

Peppermint Mocha Mama said...

Oh I've asked Santa for lots of knitting goodies - a Jordana Paige bag, a Namaste bag, a sampler basket from Knit Picks, a swift, a drop spindle beginner kit, new blocking materials, a Knit Picks gift card and a trip to A Good Yarn in Sarasota... yeah, that's pretty much my entire Christmas list right there. The only thing missing was the LightScoop I requested for my camera.. lol.

Mary said...

Not much this year as I have been blessed with much yarn and needles over the years. The only thing I'm asking for are some sock stretchers in my size - cute ones with sheepies would be lovely!

Oh my! Yarn plus sock books! Yum!
I've had a Christmas list going since my birthday in July.
I only ask there be yarn ... But has grown to include Stephen West books, as I am working through book one fast! Now I need to add a skein of Msti Alpaca! It's a dream to work with!

Happy holidays!

For Christmas I am hoping for The Central Park Hoodie Pattern, 2 books: Knitted Fairies by Fiona McDonald & Knitted Pirates, Princesses, Witches, Wizards and Fairies: Create a Magical World
by Annette Hefford and of course some lovely expensive yarns that I would never normally be able to afford to buy on my humble income.
Although I enjoy spending Christmas with the most important people in my life so that's whats the most important!

I'm interested in massive amounts of fingering weight solid yarn or lace weight to start making shawls. This may begin a need to obtain longer circs in teeny sizes. Then it seems I'll need blocking wires and mats too. Good thing my birthday is in February!
