Balustrade
I finished my first Christmas knitting project this weekend. Megan picked out the pattern and I picked up the yarn at Rhinebeck. Here it is!
It's the Balustrade made in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Marine Silk worsted weight. Gorgeous, soft and easy to make. This was my first silk yarn project and I loved it.
In other news I just got my last package from Sanguine Gryphon. I can't go back on that website or I may get myself in serious trouble. This was my last purchase.
It's called Sooty Dancer and I got it in Skinny Bugga. I've got a thing with darker yarns lately and this yarn is just divine. I'm so sad about SG closing but really looking forward to seeing what the ladies will be bringing us next!

5 Talk to me:
The cowl came out gorgeous! And the SG Sooty Dancer is beautiful too. Knitting with dark yarn is tough for me - my eyes aren't what they used to be - but black is THE classic color. I can't wait to see what you make with it!
That cowl is absolutely beautiful!
I just love this cowl. It is a great all season piece. It seems relatively light. Nice work!!
I LOVE it and can't wait to wear it!! How lovely!
Sanguine Gryphon yarn ... I hear you sister! I haven't ever knit with it but then they announced they were going out of business and I had to get in on the frenzy. I now have ::: cough::: 24 :::cough::: skeins of their yarn. I have to be strong and not load their site .. I have to be strong and not load their site ...
