Rhinebeck Haul 2011

What a great weekend we had at Rhinebeck! The whole family went and we met up with Ria & Allyson, my two best knitting buddies, and we shopped till we dropped.

On Saturday, there was no line at The Fold where Blue Moon Fiber Arts was sold so I get in there right away and got some gorgeous stuff. Al called me and said the line at Sanguine Gryphon was about an hour and a half long. I passed on that but got in plenty of shopping. It was really crowded on Saturday but Sunday was a lot better. Ria and I were the first ones on line at Sanguine Gryphon and we got quite a bit of yarn there.

There were so many wonderful vendors. As you can see below I purchased from a few of them some not so well known. Everything was just so lovely! It was hard to pick and choose but I managed to get some really great stuff.

Needless to say, my Hobbits didn't let me down. They ate almost one of everything. They needed lots of energy to carry around my new purchases!

Here's the haul.

Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock & Marine Silk

Book of Socks!

Sanguine Gryphon Eidos

Fiber Optics

Shelridge Farm

Sanguine Gryphon Skinny Bugga

Twist of Fate

Isn't everything just gorgeous? I can't wait to get started on a whole bunch of new projects!

But right now? I need a nap.

Every single skein is SO beautiful! Having Hobbits is a plus, isn't it?
I hope I can do as much damage next week at Stitches. I'll have 3 days to make it work. :-)

You picked up some yarn from my favorite vendors. I'm so jealous because I bet you paid less for it than I'm going to have to. There is a varigated red sock yarn in your stash that I'm going to try to find. Absolutely gorgeous. Great haul. Glad you had a good time. Sandy

Oh, how I wish I lived close enough to go to a fiber festival. Many people don't even like to think about knitting around here because it stays so hot from April through... well, about now!

Oh, and the yarn from the Sanguine Gryphon is gorgeous! What deep colors! You did well!
