One Down

Last night I finished my first pair of socks for Socktoberfest and here they are!
Aren't they adorable? Patrick had been after me to knit him another pair of socks so there was no time like now to get them done. They're the D-Man pattern from Ravelry done in Yarn Chef Minestrone in Mendocino which I got for my birthday a couple of months back. I loved working with this yarn. It was light as air and the variegated colors were lovely. More importantly, Patrick is thrilled with them. Next I was going to cast on with Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock medium weight but decided to hold off on those. It's a sport weight yarn and I wanted to leave that for second to last. Now I've just cast on Dash Socks by Krista Werbil which look like they should be a quick, easy knit. I'm using a yarn that has no label but is in really pretty fall colors. It's got green, orange, yellow and rust and should knit up nicely. I remember getting this yarn but I don't remember from where nor do I have any idea of where the tag for it may be. It's definitely a fingering weight and really pretty but that's about all I know. I'd really love to have these done in the next four days or so. My last project is going to be a doozy and I'll need as much time as I can get.

I always enjoy your blog and you're right, those socks are smashing. Now as to the fall colors you are about to cast on, I wear a size 6 shoe and I don't care what design you use. Giggles forever, Sandy
