Something Different
The other day my older son, Glenn, asked me to make something for him. This is very unusual because he's never asked me to make anything. Actually it's not for him but for one of his teachers. After a quick look at hat patterns on Ravelry, he decided on the Grace Lace Beret. Then we looked through the stash and decided upon Sanguine Gryphon in Monkey's Eyebrow. I think he liked the name more than the yarn or the pattern.
It really is quite lovely. Not only are the colors gorgeous, it's soft and squishy. I have a similar color in sock yarn. No surprise there. It's been so long since I made a hat! It will be a nice break from socks and I'm looking forward to getting this done for him. Now I just have to get him to wear stuff I make him!

How could anyone resist Monkey's Eyebrow?!?!
I have a skein very similar to that! It's a gorgeous colorway. :) If I ever use it, it's for these: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/day-of-the-dead
I love the name!! Beautiful colorway & great pattern choice, too. Lucky teacher!
