Socktoberfest II

Yes ladies and gentlemen it's that time of year again. Socktoberfest is almost upon us! I'm thrilled about this and have picked out three yarns so far but only one pattern. Here are the yarns:
From the left we have Madeline Tosh Merino Light in Thyme, Yarn Chef Minestrone in Mendocino and Blue Moon FIber Arts Socks That Rock Lightweight in Thraven. These are all yarns I really love so I'm hoping it will inspire me to knit quickly and beautifully. My goal for Socktoberfest is four pair of socks for the month, approximately one per week. A girl can dream, right? As for patterns, I've only chosen one. It's Elphaba's Revenge and I'll be using the MadTosh Thyme for it. It may be cliche to use a green for the wicked witch from Wicked but I couldn't resist. It's probably going to be the last pair I knit because it appears to be a bit complex with horizontal cables which I've never done before. Mel, Knitting Mama, suggested this pattern and I fell in love with it. I have a tendency to do patterns that are easy for me so it'll be a nice change to do something I've never done before. Stretch and grow!

Wow! Elphaba's revenge is the prettiest sock i've ever seen! (I'm such a sucker for aran cables) I can't wait to see these.
