Bella's Mittens

I finally finished the Bella's Mittens I made for Joyce. Aren't they lovely? I really liked making these and was reminded of how much I like doing cables. Patrick saw these and wants a pair. I'm sure he'd like a pair to match his Spongebob pajamas you see here in the photo.
We're having a major snowstorm here and New Yorkers have lost they damn minds. They've had "snow coverage" on the local channels here since 8:00 am and it's now noon. They even have some schmuck out in Jersey with a yardstick measuring the snowfall. I guess they don't realize we have windows and can look outside to see the snowfall. Thank goodness for DVR!
No Olympic coverage so far today which has me bumming. I've been thoroughly enjoying the Olympics and am quite taken with Vancouver. If I didn't have such a dreadful fear of flying, that would be our next vacation spot.
Currently knitting the Old Shale Scarf and a pair of easy ribbed socks. Nice knits both but I think I may get started on another pair of the Bella's.

Love your Bellas. I'm on my second pair now, too!

Your Bellas are gorgeous. Sincerely considering making a second pair for myself, as I wear mine all the time.

You're lucky, ABC started "snow coverage" at 4:30. I know 'cause town called at 3:30 and school system called at 5:30 ( how did they get my #?)
Your Bella mittens are georgous. Where can I find the pattern? I missed that one. I have a great yarn for that. For some strange reason instead of knitting, I decided to clean out my yarn. What was I thinking?

i LOVE those mittens. I've meant to make them for the last 2 winters - even have the yarn set aside. This year I think I will! They're a great looking mitten!

Gorgeous mittens! Are those Bella as in Twilight Bella? I need to learn to make those.

I stayed home and worked from here today...Queens got slammed with snow. I'm tired of it :( Be safe this weekend.

I LOVE them!! You may have convinced me to knit them after all. I still have the yarn I bought for them.....

And, of course, I totally agree with you about the snow coverage. During one fo the recent snow falls freakin' fox cut into some daytime show I was watching to give a big report on it! And it was nothing. EERG!

Btw, did I mention how much I love your mittens? Well, I do.

The mittens are beautiful - I've had this on my list for a long time and I really need to get around to making them!

I am very tired of the snow coverage (snowicane?) - but more so, I'm very tired of the snow!
