I Finally Finished Something!

I was looking for something to make and realized that I didn't have a really warm hat to wear this winter. I think that's the case with a lot of knitters. We're so busy making for others, we forget ourselves. I have my cool funky weed selling slouchy hat but I wanted something a little different. I was looking through Ravelry and found the Flurries Slouch Hat by Sandy Bingham and thought it was adorable and I had the perfect yarn for it! I had the Cash Vero I'd gotten earlier this year at Wool Gathering and I knew it would make a lovely hat.

Isn't it sweet? It took me just one day to knit this up. And, if you read here regularly, you know I'm all about the quick and easy.
I'm just finishing up a pair of socks and then I'm going to be looking for more sock patterns I think. I have oodles of sock yarn I'd like to start using so I'll be on a hunt for small projects. I still have Pat's sweater to finish then I have to get the yarn for my niece's baby's set.
Lots going on with the holidays coming as I'm sure is happening in most homes this time of year. I love Amazon. One stop shopping for gifts. And like I said, I'm all about the quick and easy.

The hat looks cute & warm - best of both worlds! And I got a sock pattern book recently that I recommend: knitted socks east & west. Also a very cute pattern on winter knitty. I've been thinking of trying socks again, too. I just hated my first pair. (ha, pair - I never finished sock #2!)
