Or Make It Yourself

Does anyone remember those old Progresso Soup commercials? Make it Progresso or make it yourself! I'm doing a little contest. One that is a bit unorthodox for a knitting blog but I thought it was cute.
I'm a big soup person especially in the winter. I was asked to do a giveaway on my blog for Progresso Soup through MyBlogSpark! Here's the deal and the prize. Just tell me what your favorite soup is and I'll pick a winner in a week on Monday, November 2nd. I'll send Progresso your information and they'll send you your prize which will be the following:

It's a can of High Fiber Chicken Tuscany soup, two large soup mugs and two spoons! I got them all in the mail today and they're lovely mugs with a great can of soup. The contest will end at midnight on Sunday and I'll post the winner on Monday. Good luck!

I love soup! Vegetable beef will always be my favorite, but I also love cream of chicken and chicken noodle. About the only soup I don't like is mushroom.

Hands down, all time favorite is Italian Wedding Soup.

Chicken and rice will do me nice-ly

Store bought:Italian Wedding

Homemade:Roasted Veggie puree

I normally roast some sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots, a butternut squash, an onion, and some garlic all together. Toss them in a pot with some veggie or chicken broth, milk and secret spices. Yummy.

My favorite soup would be potato cheese soup! Yum...perfect for a chilly day.

I love soup too. Although I've yet to find one that comes out of a can that I like. (maybe I shouldn't have said that, huh?) My favorites won't be popular -- my grandmother's split pea soup (i.e. the Jewish version so not a taste of ham within 5 miles), my/my mothers matzah ball soup, a mushroom soup I make, a [insert favorite vegetable here] soup that seems creamy but the texture comes from adding a table spoon of uncooked white rice.

I love that they sent you the offer!

Being that tis the season, pumpkin soup is an all time fave of mine. I wish I had some right now! Otherwise it's my dad's matzo ball soup. Hands down!

Butternut Squash Soup is one of my favorite soups! Especially this time of year.

It would be a toss-up between cream of broccoli soup and Italian wedding soup.

I love my homemade beef stew! It's starting to get cold & I can't wait to make some!

As I was thinking about my favorite soup, thinking it would be easy to pick one, I realized I was quite wrong...I have several favorite soups.

I guess I will have to pick black bean soup for today. Close runners up include chili, lentil, tomato or squash bisque, and this amazing wild rice and mushroom soup recipe that I have that is LOADED with creamy goodness...hence why it has to be a treat rather than a regular.

We almost always have Progresso in the pantry for quick lunch grabs in the winter...what an interesting contest.

aside from a good ole clam chowdah! ( i am a new england girl after all) I just love a good potato or squash with wild rice soup. I tend to make about 4 pots a week of soup a week, then freeze half of it. ( as my family is not the huge soup lovers that i am)

I am a soup junkie so it is hard to pick a favorite. Guess it would have to be New England Style Clam Chowder.

Mmm.. I made a really good black bean soup the other day. I also enjoy chicken tortilla soup. De-lish!

I would say may favorite right now is Lentil Soup. I can't remember where we found the recipe, but it's a big hit with the whole family - even the grandkids when we take it to their house.

Chili is my next favorite. Nice thick chili with cinnamon rolls. Yup, cinnamon rolls - it's a midwest thing.
