Bag Lust

I've always been a bag ho and I have the Le Sportsacs to prove it. Ever since I started working I've loved bags. Not lil purses but big multi pocketed shoulder breakers. I'd go to Innovation Luggage on 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue every pay day and look at what new bags they had there. It's telling that I shopped, even then, in a luggage store for my purses. I loved the Le Sportsac ones because I could keep my makeup and wallet in the main part, my Walkman (anyone remember those) in another pocket, a magazine in another pocket and my paperback book of the moment in yet another pocket. Memories. Can you here Barbra singing it now? I can. That bitch can SING.
I bought a lovely knitting bag on Etsy last year but it's just a bit too small. That's right...not enough pockets. Right now I carry my knitting around in a LeSportsac pink paisley weekend bag but it's too big and not enough pockets.
I joined the Bag Lust group on Ravelry and they've opened up a brand new world to me! Lexie Barnes, Sally Spicer, Overland Equipment & Offhand Designs to name a few. Then I saw something about Namaste Laguna and I Googled it. Lo and behold:

Is that not the most gorgeous bag you've evah seen??? Big? Check. Pockets? Check. Beautiful? Check! What more could a bag ho ask for? Nothing. I saw it and have been drooling over it all day. I've put it on my list for Santa Claus but I'm not sure I can wait that long. As a matter of fact I know I can't. Anyone looking to sell or trade for one? I've got a decent collection of LeSportsacs I'm willing to trade!

OMG, that bag is amazing! Dare I ask how much it is? (Tsk tsk, I shouldn't, I know!) I'm a bag ho, too, but lately it's been all about the diaper bags (go figure!) You totally flashed me back as I used to work at Innovation Luggage at the mall in Brooklyn and loved finding great bags there!

I can definitely relate since I consider myself somewhat of a bag ho.
Love the bag. I think you should get it now because it's a perfect color for Fall. :-)

Very cute! I'm the opposite too many pockets make it hard for me to find things in there! LOL! I have a purse post to write tonight...I love my new bag too!

Namaste bags are awesome, my husband bought me a purple Zuma bag for Christmas and it's the best bag I've ever had!

I have a Newport (which is not really my knitting bag, but just my bag for everything by now), and it's really amazing. I think my gran has the Laguna, the hot pink version and she really likes it. I still want a Zuma, and perhaps a Laguna later on (and I really don't like the new big black one, it just looks weird to me)

But eh, there are (online)stores that sell these you know, so you don't have to buy them off somebody. Unless it's because you want it a bit cheaper, which I can understand because these bags sure aren't cheap.

I love bags too and I am afraid what would happen to me and my marriage if I started knitting and "needed" all new knitting bags. Lord have mercy.

This is my favorite Namaste. I just wish I had the strength to carry it once it's loaded up!
