Dear Owner Of A Star Crossed Slouchy Beret,
You know I love you very much. I even really like your boyfriend. That is the reason I made both of you hats. I hoped that, even though there were many miles between us, I could keep you warm during the relatively cold Florida winter and you'd be styling too. Did I ask for monetary remuneration? No. Did I ask for you to name your first born daughter after me? No. (Although that may happen if I ever make you a sweater) All I ask for is a photo of you and O together so I can post it on my blog for the pleasure of myself and my three readers. Hi Megan, Annie and Glenn!

That's right. It's her. The Gretel Hat. When I told you I was knitting, she was the first hat you fell in love with and asked me to make. I told you it had to wait because I didn't know how to make cables. So you patiently waited until I gained the skills to make this beautiful hat. I had actually begun this hat when I realized I had never received the paltry sum I had asked for the two other hats.
So here's the dealio. Either I get the photos via email in the next week or the hat gets it. That's right. I'll be a frogging fool and all that will be left of your hat will be a lil pile of soft, scrumptious yarn on the floor of my bedroom. I will be sad to see her go but I must demand payment for my creative endeavors. I'll be checking my email hourly and if I dont' receive a photo within a week, I will be sending you a photo of a pile of Pastaza yarn and a bill for the hats I made you.
