Happy Birthday To Me!

Ok ok it's not my birthday until August (mark that on your calendar now please) but with all these lovely cakes of yarn, I couldn't resist a resounding chorus of a birthday song. Here you go:

That's my $100 investment I got on Craigslist. Oodles of really nice yarn. Some of it is a little old and was a little felted together but a tug or two got it undone. I had to throw out about one full cake's worth of yarn but it was a small price to pay for all this yarn! Most of it is Manos, some of it Pastelas I think it's called and some of it is hand painted yarn. All really soft if a little musty. The cone on the left is cotton. Not sure what I'm going to make with it. In the foreground on the right I'd like to do a Baby Surprise Jacket. I think there may be a surprise or two in there for family and friends. And NO NOT YOU BEANA! I already have your yarn so nyah!
I have to thank my darling husband for having the patience to help me because I'm a doofus. I haven't had much practice winding yarn and he took the time to get everything up on the swift while I just worked out my winding arm. Yay Glenn! Well you know he's got patience being married to me.
