Tiggers Are Wonderful Things!

Know why? Cuz they're striped! I made this yesterday. Yes! All it took me was a day to make! I found the pattern for the London Beanie on Ravelry and knit this up really fast. My friend, Al, who I've mentioned is a knitting goddess, showed me how to have what's called a jogless join of the stripes. It's so the stripes begin and end on the same row. It worked. Sorta. It'll get better as I get better I'm sure. Actually it got better as the hat progressed! Also the stripes were supposed to be two rows and I accidently did three rows for the last ones but it's about not following all the rules. Right? Or so I tell myself when I make a mistake. This was supposed to be for my nephew but I used the wrong sized needles so it's a lil smaller than I would have liked but to the delight of my son who didn't take it off all last night. I don't know why but making this hat made me feel like a real knitter. Must have been the stripes. So that was my lesson for this hat. Now I have to make one for my nephew on the right sized needles. Then I have to make one for my other son. Then I'm going to tackle mittens! I hope. Oh and I want to thank my son, Patrick, for being a willing model and my darling husband for taking the photos, uploading them and sending them to me. He takes almost all my pictures now and never complains. He's a keeper.
