A Reason To Smile

This is Rowan Chunky Print. I went to Smiley's HUGE yearly sale in Manhattan yesterday and bought a bag of 10 skeins of this for $30. YES $30!!! Can you believe it? I just found it online for $12.00 per skein so that means I saved.....$90!! I thought this was a really cute fun looking yarn. At this sale you have to buy a bag of yarn, most of which were 10 skeins per bag. I wound up buying this, a bag of this really cool Gedifra yarn and some Red Heart for Patrick. The place was REALLY crowded and the wait online to cash out was about 45 minutes. I'm NOT one for crowds nor do I have an iota of patience but I was with my friend so we stuck it out. She bought OODLES of lovely yarn too. I have to say the people there were so nice and polite. Everyone was talking and having fun..checking each other's purchases out and complimenting their choices. It was a fun experience and I'm actually thinking of going back! Next time I won't go at lunch time though. I think there were a lot of people there on their lunch break. I've made a couple of slouchy berets the last two weeks. I gave one to my sister for her birthday and forgot to take a picture. I know..knucklehead. I'm going to get pics of this one and post it when I get a chance. Gonna be busy with holiday stuff now but hope to keep my post count up.
