My baby making days are a bit behind me and most of my friends and family for now. I was so excited when I saw a woman in my building with her brand new beautiful baby boy the other day. It gave me a perfect excuse to try something new! This is a .simple easy baby hat. Some ribbing and seed stitches with a lil stem on top. I loved making it so much I think I'm going to make more just for the heck of it. Maybe I'll bring some down to the hospital and put some away for future grands - nieces, nephews and eventually children.
I realized I'm really bored with my stash. I need to do some shopping and soon. Maybe this weekend I'll get to a store and get some new stuff.
OH I got in touch with a friend of my sister's who lives in my neighborhood who knits! She and I had a long conversation the other day about knitting, lys, Rhinebeck and Ravelry. She's going to go with me to the meet up in Union Square in a couple of weeks and to the opening of the new Lion Brand shop! I'm so excited! It'll be great fun to have someone who I can talk to about this all. She's much more advanced than I am and she does absolutely gorgeous work! YAY!!

I heart, heart, heart, heart this!! Please make some for the local hospital, new mommies would love to have this and it is such a nice personal touch. I need to learn!
Adorable little hat - Isn't it fun to find babies to knit for? Instant gratification!
Thanks for the compliment in this blog post. My simple baby hat is done and up on my page - have a look.
I feel like such a knit slacker when I check out your blog!
Another sweet hat!
That is so precious! I like the color, too!
You know, every hospital has at least one volunteer who makes hats like these for all the babies, and I think you volunteering to make some as well is absolutely fabulous.
